Snowman was a handsome white boy who ended up at the animal shelter. He was extremely sweet which made it very sad news when he turned up with heartworms. We put out a plea for foster homes and Ann Havard (see our pet therapy page) answered our call. She fostered Snowman and nursed him through his heartworm treatment. She could see what a great dog he was so she convinced her sister to add him to her family. Snowman is now named Lightening and lives in Michigan where he blends right in with the snow. Below is a note from Ann’s sister about Lightening.
Dear Friends,
With a lot of help from Ann and Paul we have adopted a new dog. Lightening is adjusting well to his new home. He is housebroken (thanks Ann & Paul!) and very well mannered and quiet. He also likes to sleep late when we do, which is extremely nice. He is really sweet, calm and of course unbelievably cute. I think we are very lucky to have found him!
Love,
Jody
